Welcome to the Calúnica Shop! My name is Miriam Plata, and building this eco friendly clothing company is my dream come true.
Everyone has unique resources that they can use to make the world a better place. This is my way of turning a social science background and passion for making clothes into positive change.
Here on the Central Coast of California, in my little solar-powered home studio, I do everything from design and patternmaking to cutting and sewing organic clothing. This is how I express my creative energy and show my love for people and the planet.
Supporting small slow fashion brands like Calúnica means saying no to the second largest polluting industry in the world and standing against modern day slavery in sweatshops. It also allows me to continue doing what I love.
